CIS/FISU ANNOUNCE GENDER AWARD

Jan 29, 2013 – Canadian Interuniversity Sport and FISU strongly support the promotion of gender equality and encourage the higher integration of women in sport at all levels.

As a member federation of FISU, CIS proudly presents the opportunity for Canadian projects and programs exemplifying those same values to apply for the FISU Gender Equality Sport Award.

This award recognizes specific projects that promote and establish women’s participation in university sports, women’s leadership development in sport organizations or PhD/investigative research that encourages gender equality. Promoting gender equality can accelerate the involvement of more women at all levels of university sport and improve gender balance in decision-making.
