Mar 5, 2012 – CAAWS congratulations Dr Dru Marshall, Past CAAWS Chair and Olympic Field Hockey Coach, on her induction into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame.
Dr. Dru Marshall coached field hockey at the University, National and International levels. She was the assistant coach of the Canadian bronze-medal 1986 World Cup team, and the 1998 and 1992 Olympic Games teams. Dr. Marshall’s extensive writing on coaching has contributed significantly to its evolution into a respected and significant component of sport in Canada. Dr. Marshall is now the Provost and Vice-President at the University of Calgary.
The induction gala will take place on May 24, 2013 at the Sheraton Red Deer, and will honour ten of Alberta’s greatest athletes, sport builders, pioneers and media personal.
