SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The Marion Lay “Herstorical” Award is presented
to an individual, group or organization whose distinct contribution
has had a long-term and significant influence and has broken
down barriers to equal participation for girls and women in
sport and physical activity. Nominees are individuals, groups
or organizations who have made a significant contribution
and commitment for 10 years or more.
All nominations should include:
- Completed nomination form. Click

- A nomination statement not to exceed 250 words that highlights
your nominee’s contributions and/or summarizes your
submission.
- A nomination letter (5 pages maximum) that will:
- Include a biography of the nominee.
- Include a brief description of the nominee’s area
of influence.
- Describe how the individual, group or organization had
a long-term positive influence that has broken down the
barriers to equal participation in sport and physical activity.
- Describe how the contribution has provided long-term
improvements for girls and women.
