The 2005 Michele Landsberg Award

For over 10 years, CWF has been investing in the Power of Women and the Dreams of Girls. CWF knows that a brighter future for all Canadians requires strong, committed and enthusiastic women leaders.

In initiating this award, CWF recognizes the tremendous impact that Michele's work has had on making Canada a more just society. Michele is a role model for all women, helping us to understand issues and challenging us to work toward change. This award in her honour, connects to the heart of CWF's mission because it celebrates outstanding leadership and activism of young women who are building a stronger future for all.

The Michele Landsberg Award will be awarded annually to a young woman in Canada (16-30 years of age) to recognize outstanding feminist work in media and or activism. The award will be granted from an endowed fund being established at CWF, and administered and granted through CWF.
