Is protein supplementing a good idea?

Your protein requirement (at the top end of the scale) for your training and weight loss goals are about 55 grams - so all you are doing by eating this bar is adding more calories from protein. If you want to obtain an optimal body weight for your peak health then you have to go into energy imbalance - that is, you will have to burn more calories then you take in from food. Is takes alot of time and effort to add even more exercise into the lifestyle of someone who is already getting fitness benefits of regular physical activity. It is however, quite easy to look at some changes that you could make to your diet (that is, from FOODS that you eat) rather than by trying to get your nutrition from supplement bars. These bars only supplement your diet - they do not improve it! So....to find out how much food you need to eat and changes you could make, take a look at the following "Getting On Track".
