Grant-A-Week WINNER Okay. Arden D'hont, the greatful recipient of one of the weekly grants from Nike/CAAWS, is 9 years old, soon to be ten.
In the winter, she is active in cross country skiing and figure skating. In the summer she bikes, enjoys fishing, camping, and boating. In between seasons she tries to fit in a few swimming lessons. Throughout the fall and winter, Arden really enjoys going swimming every Friday night, something she has done with her family ever since she was a baby. She is active and enthusiastic. The grant money might go towards a new ski club outfit or a new bike for the spring and summer. Either way, Arden will be involved in the decision making and the money will be spent in a manner that encourages her to continue her active lifestyle. Receiving this grant has made her feel real important. Thank you.
