Slam Dunk is a book about the Cabbagetown Raptors boys basketball team.

The team does not have enough athletes so they need 5 players to come from the girls team. They were Cindy, Nikki, Anita, Julianna and Erin. The Raptors lose their first game because the boys never passed to the girls.

The girls didn’t really want to play with the boys either because they had their own league, and they had won the championships last year.

If the best girls played on the boys team, then the girls team wouldn’t be as good.

Mason really wanted to go to Ottawa for the Canadian Championships because his best friend had just moved to Ottawa. Cindy wanted to go to Ottawa as well. Cindy and Mason organized a party at Cindy’s house. The party went well. The boys and girls got to know each other and the boys found out the girls were really good ballplayers.

After the party the boys started passing to the girls. The team won the rest of the games and went to Ottawa for the National Championships. So if you like basketball and are looking for something good to read I would suggest Slam Dunk.
