Choi Kwang-Do is the revolutionary martial
arts system designed and created by Grandmaster Kwang Jo
Choi, a 9th degree black belt.
Grandmaster Choi combines a practical method of street
self-defence and exhilarating cardiovascular workout with
fun and exciting easy-to-learn techniques.
Choi Kwang-Do is a system which allows its practitioners
to deliver much more powerful and effective punches, kicks
and strikes, while reducing the risk of stressful hyper-extension
injuries.

Ringette
There are various skill levels of play across the Halifax
and Valley Regions; beginning with Bunnies, (a learn to
skate program) and then formal teams and in some age divisions
Provincial Teams. Many communities offer a place for every
skill level this makes for place for every player of every
age and skill level. Some Associations that are smaller
without the benefits of neighbouring communities to play
in a league with will only have some of these breakdowns.
Across the regions and country many tournaments are held
throughout the season, with Regional and/or League Championships
being the highlight while the Provincials are the finale.
Each year Provinces select Teams at the Junior, Belle, Deb,
and Intermediate AA divisions to play in the Canadian Championships.
There are World Championships in our sport, with Canada
picking a National Team to represent us at those Championships
every two years. Across Canada, Ringette is played by all
the provinces and the North West Territories. Contact: ringette@sportnovascotia.ca
