Clara Hughes finishes sixth in Olympic cycling time trial
Canadian cyclist Clara Hughes said goodbye to road racing with a ride she ranked among her best. She didn't add another Olympic medal to the two bronze she won at the 1996 Games, but what she did to finish sixth in the women's time trial Saturday filled her with pride.-September 30, 2000

Disappointment for Dubnicoff
Any medal hopes for Canadian cyclist Tanya Dubnicoff in the sprint event died on the track at the Dunc Gray Velodrome Tuesday night. She lost to the Ukraine's Iryna Yanovych in the quarterfinals and failed to advance.-September 19,2000
Dubnicoff ends up eighth
Canadians will have to wait a bit longer before celebrating their country's first medal at the Sydney Olympic Games. Tanya Dubnicoff of Winnipeg finished a disappointing eighth on Saturday in the women's 500-metre trial cycling event. She was timed in 35.486 seconds in the event, which is new at these Games. Jeason 2nd in Mount Washington World Cup
Genevieve Jeanson of Lachine, Que., finished second to defending Olympic champion Jeannie Longo at the Mount Washington cycling road race on Saturday. Jeanson, who saw her event record eclipsed by Longo, finished in a time of one hour 14 seconds. Longo, a native of France, won the 12.2-kilometre race in 58:14, breaking Jeanson's record of 1:01:57, set last year. (Montreal Gazette) - August 21, 2000
