Canada wins bronze in team synchro
The Canadian synchronized swimming team captured a bronze medal on Friday with a free program that symbolized the Olympic spirit.-September 29, 2000

Their program was ahead of its time. Too far ahead maybe.  Fanny Letourneau of Deux-Montagnes, Que., and Claire Carver-Dias of Toronto performed a quirky, funky, at times visionary and at other times simply bizarre routine in the final of the pairs synchronized swimming which left them out of the medals at the Olympic Games on Tuesday.-September 26, 2000
Women's 4 x 200 free team may pull switch
With a little personnel shuffling the Canadian women's 4x200m freestyle team hopes to deal themselves a medal-winning hand.  Winnipeg swimmer Shannon Shakespeare expects a couple of swimmers, probably Marianne Limpert and Laura Nicholls, to join the team even though they're entered in the women's 100m freestyle semifinal this evening.-September 20, 2000
Malar places 7th in 400 IM
Hamilton swimmer Joanne Malar got caught in the wake of a world-record time, finishing seventh in the 400-metre individual medley Saturday night at the Sydney Olympic Games behind gold medallist Yana Klochkova of Ukraine.
