Johane Begin and Marie-Claude Deslieres each scored in the final quarter as Canada rallied
to tie Russia 7-7 in water polo. Russia looked on the way to victory with 5:02
remaining Saturday. But Cora Campbell lobbed a long cross-pool pass to Begin to cut
the lead to one. Deslieres' goal, a power shot from beyond the seven-metre area, tied it

The Canadian women's water-polo team returned from a pre-Olympic tournament to their
Montreal training headquarters yesterday with silver medals - and no shortage of
motivation to even the score with their archrival American opponents two months down the
road in Sydney. Canada fell 5-4 to the U.S. in the gold-medal match of the Holiday
Cup Sunday night before a sellout crowd of 2,200 at Los Alamitos, Calif. (Montreal

Team comes back with a win against The Netherlands
A day after a lost against the USA, the Canadian women's waterpolo team defeated
The Netherlands 5 to 4 Wednesday, at the Los Alamitos Holiday Cup. Montreal's Ann Dow,
with two goals in the first half, and goalkeepers Josée Marsolais and Isabelle Auger
played a great match. Calgary's Cora Campbell, Johanne Bégin from Ste-Foy and Waneek

Women's team schedule in Sydney now known
Canadian women's water polo team learned its schedule for the Sydney Olympic Games on
Monday. In order, Canada will be playing Russia, the Netherlands, the United States,
