Canada’s Dumont & Martin – An Olympic Contender!

With each passing day Canada’s Guylaine Dumont & Annie Martin grow stronger and stronger. The pair continues to enjoy incredible success this year and this weekends FIVB World Beach Tour stop in Stavanger, Norway is no exception.

Dumont & Martin wasted little time today getting right into the flow with a 3 set victory over Brazil’s Juliana Felisberta da Silva & Larissa Franca 21-14, 18-21 and 21-19. From there the pair met the USA’s Holly McPeak & Elaine Youngs. Despite the straight set loss 14-21, 19-21, the pair showed good form against this #1 ranked team.

Dumont & Martin came out on fire in their final match of the day against Norway’s Nila Ann Hakedal & Ingrid Torlen winning quite handily on centre court 21-9, 21-10 earning a spot in tomorrow’s semi-final.
