A Message from one of our Step
Up! Speak Out! Champions

Danielle Peers |
Danielle Peers, Paralympic Medalist &
National Women's Program Additional Coach - Wheelchair Basketball
"Sport is a venue in which the inequalities of our societies
are often reflected and reproduced. Thankfully, sport is also
a powerful venue through which these inequalities can be resisted,
and re-examined. It is up to us, as athletes, coaches, academics
and administrators to decide what kind of sport, and what
kind of world, we want to be part of, and to make our local
and national sporting spaces a reflection of that dream."
