Unfortunately there are virtually no woman's canoeing programs outside of Canada. Bliss is contributing to the efforts being made to change this but progress is slow. As a fourth year student at the University of Waterloo Bliss is continuing to demonstrate her love of canoeing by coaching and encouraging growth in this sport.

She volunteers with the Victoria International Track Fest and other local sporting events and coaches youth soccer and basketball. Currently, Trish works for the provincial government in communications; specializing in sport, physical activity and information around the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Kathy was a member of the national Luge team for ten years and is a two time Olympic athlete. Since her retirement 11 years ago she has continued to give back to sport as a coach and volunteer. Kathy works with the Canadian Sport Centre in Calgary as a facilitator for Public Speaking, goal setting, sport demonstration and self-marketing.

Lynn has been coaching for 10 years in the sport of fencing. She has also been a high performance athlete in modern pentathlon and is the only Canadian, male or female, to win a world championship title. Lynn will take her fencing exam and become the 3rd female fencing master in Canada.

Katherine is a professor in the faculty of education at the University of Alberta and is an active sports woman. In her twenties and thirties she was an active squash player and sponsored a raquetball player who competed nationally. She has skiied since she was 14, swam, cycled long distances, participated in scuba diving, and played squash for over 30 years. She still skies, plays tennis and squash and now has added golf to her fitness regime.
