Focus Group Findings

From April – July 2006, 38 focus groups were conducted in Whitehorse, Vancouver, Westlock (rural community one hour north of Edmonton), Regina, Thompson, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal, Moncton and St. John’s. In Montreal, Ottawa and Moncton, focus groups were conducted in both French and English. In every community three different groups came together: a group of community stakeholders; a group of women 55-70 that considered themselves active; and, a group of women 55-70 that did not consider themselves active. Results of these focus groups were compiled and sent to partners and focus groups participants.
