Women 55-70: Physical Activity & Sport Challenges & Opportunities

CAAWS, regional partners and local coordinating agencies are hosting a series of regional workshops focused on physical activity and sport challenges and opportunities for women 55-70. The purpose of the workshops is to present and discuss research findings, tools and resources produced as part of a five-year national project (2005 to 2010) focused on increasing physical activity and sport opportunities for women 55-70. The useful information and concrete tools presented will assist in the development of physical activity and sport initiatives, policies and strategies for this target group.

The workshops are taking place in the following locations:

Prince Albert SK (English): March 16, 2010
Yellowknife NT (English): March 17, 2010
Grand Prairie AB (English): March 19, 2010
Whitehorse YK (English): March 23, 2010
Dieppe NB (French): March 26, 2010
Charlottetown PE (English): March 29, 2010
Sydney NS (English): March 30, 2010
Fredericton NB (English): March 31, 2010
Gander NF (English): April 20, 2010

There is no cost to attend the workshop and lunch is provided.
